September, 26 the construction contract between AS Oma Ehitaja and Technopolis Ülemiste AS entered into force to build a new office building for Ülemiste City.
Technopolis Ülemiste AS will build a 12-storey office building, a five-storey parking house and adjacent square at Sepapaja 1. The parking house is due for completion by the end of 2019 and the office building by spring 2020.
Construction at Sepapaja 1 will substantially change the appearance of Ülemiste City. The office block and parking house will form the business park’s “gateway buildings”, situated close to two of its key entrances: Suur-Sõjamäe and Lõõtsa streets. Together they will become an important landmark for anyone approaching Ülemiste City from the direction of Lasnamäe and city centre.
The new 12-storey office building will have a rentable area of 10,800 m². It will have a recognisably big-city appearance, marked out by its expansive, gradually sloping glass facade. At the heart of the building will be its high-ceilinged 1st floor, featuring a foyer and reception desks, and with space for catering and commercial premises. The southern side of the office building will also feature a square with flagpoles, a fountain and sitting spaces. With it the centre of Ülemiste City will shift even more towards this part of the campus.
Office building and parking house will be linked by a gallery, with entrance to the parking station from Suur-Sõjamäe Street. In addition to holding more than 540 cars, the parking house will feature an area for parking and securing bicycles.
